Zygentoma

Zygentoma is a small-sized wingless insect. It has three long and thin tails that extend at the rear point of the abdomen. This creature has two small compound eyes. Its body gets covered by silver scales. It has long and thin multi-segmented antenna. These grow less than 2 cm. The Silverfishes in this species are herbivores and feed on plant matter and fungi. But some may be omnivores and feed both on plant matters as well as scavenge on dead insects. These get found in different types of habitats including spaces under barks of the tree, under rocks, or rotten logs and leaf litters. These also dwell together with termites and ants. These creatures are nocturnal but are also found in the day time but only at the dark places.
