Huntsman Spider

Huntsman Spider is a scary spider for its looks! These spiders are big and hairy for which they look dangerous! But, this species of spiders are harmless and also get considered as good pets. The spiders are grey-brown in color and grow up to 15cm. The spiders live in crevices or loose bark of trees. These are also found under rocks. One can expect these spiders behind the curtains or in the interiors of the house and even cars.

This species of spiders move fast and have weak eyesight. They don’t build webs. These are good hunters and feed on insects as well as other invertebrates. The Huntsman Spiders live peacefully in large colonies. The females lay up to 200 eggs in a flat and oval shaped sac. While guarding the sac, the females become aggressive and if provoked they will attack.
