The Victorian Huntsman spiders are common species found in interiors. The color of these spiders may vary from grey to brown with darker spots on the upper side of the abdomen and dark bands on the legs. The females in this species grow up to 40 mm but the males are smaller and grow up to 25 mm. These spiders have flattened body with long and forward perching legs. The first two pairs of legs are longer in comparison to the second two pairs.
The spiders don’t build a web to dwell. Loose barks of eucalypts are perfect nesting space for this species of spiders. The spiders move fast in the sideways direction. The egg sacs are flat and oval in shape made from white papery silk. It feeds on different types of insects and invertebrates. These spiders are not venomous and are not aggressive but can bite if they sense any threaten.
