Australian Hornet

Australian Hornet is a type of potter wasp that is native to Australia. It is a solitary insect and is 30mm long. It is an orange colored insect with a large black patch on top of its thorax. It has a black marking on its abdomen. The wings are large and translucent, but wing ends have orange and black highlights. These creatures are not aggressive. The females search for sheltered and gloomy spaces. These creatures build their nests in these locations with mud. These tiny stinging creatures become aggressive to defend their nests. While the adult females feed on nectar from flowers, the young feed on caterpillars and other similar young creatures.
