Lissopimpla Excelsa also known as orchid dupe wasp is a native to Australia. It is a medium-sized wasp and has an orange body with dark wings. Its abdomen has a long black band with four white spots on the sides. The wasps have long thin antennae curled upwards at its end. The females have stout black ovipositor with a length of about half of the body. The body size of these wasps can grow up to 10-20mm. These wasps have dark and white spots on their abdomen. The females are the parasites of moth caterpillars and lawn grubs.
