The Coptotermes Raffrayi are subterranean termites found in North Queensland and certain other areas in Australia. The workers in this termite species look whitish and partially transparent. The workers are wingless, sterile and have no eyes. The soldiers look creamy and have large brown heads and mandibles and grow up to 4-5 mm long. The soldiers are wingless, sterile and blind. The alates grow up to 12-14 mm and look dark brown or black. The alates have four equal sized wings and have compound eyes. These termites prefer building nests underground in the tree trunks of living or dead trees. These termites get majorly found in coastal as well as inland areas.
