Dog Flea is Ctenocephalides Canis that feed on dogs and cats. The adult ticks are brownish back in color and after a blood meal, these appear reddish. The ticks are 1-4 mm long while the legless larva is 5mm long. This species of fleas occasionally bite humans when the primary host is not available. The body of these pests is flattened for which they easily move through the fur. The pests strongly hold on to the animal’s fur. The ticks can jump up to 6 inches that allow them to jump from one host to another easily. These fleas infest the garden.
