Green Carpenter Bees

The Green Carpenter Bees are spectacular in looks! They can grow up to 17 mm long and have a glossy metallic green color body with tints of blue or yellow color. This species of bee cut 10mm wide nests in the flower stalks of the grass trees or even in the soft dead timbers. The green carpenter bees are rarely found in Australia because of land clearing. In Kangaroo Island, South Australia, this species of bees are found in maximum numbers.
