Pavement Ants are famous for infesting commercial buildings. The worker ants in this species range between 2.5-3 mm long. This ant species build their nests around driveways, decaying woods, below the sidewalks and even near the soil of structure’s foundation. Though these species remain active at night, they invade into the interiors during the day. These ants feed on sweet food. The ants have stingers to protect self from other ants, but the sting is not powerful enough to break human skin. These ants create nuisance during the swarming season as it is the mating time. !
