Anopheles Annulipes S.I.
Anopheles Annulipes are medium-sized mosquitoes that feed on human blood as well as other animals. These mosquitoes particularly attack the cattle. These mosquitoes have a dark and speckly grey appearance. The proboscis is dark in the upper side with variable pale area in the down side. The scutum is grayish with scattering broad white scales. The sides of thorax have dark colored areas with few pale scales. The wings have dark patches and pale scales. The Anopheles Annulipes mosquitoes are common in Australia. It transmits malaria, filaria and dog heartworm viruses.
