The Almond Moths are also known as Tropical Warehouse Moth. This species of moth gets its name for its habit of feeding on walnuts, peanuts, and almonds. These moths also feed on a variety of grains and seeds including other dry fruits as well as pet foods. The adult Almond Moths are light-brown in color having small hind wings that are gray colored. The wingspan ranges from 14-22 mm when extended. The back edges of their wings have a short fringe line. These moths feed on dry food products stored in warehouses or any other place. Thus, these moths can easily get detected near the food sources. The females of these pantry moths Australia lay eggs between 200-400 eggs that are small-sized. The eggs are white colored and found near the food sources. The larvae measure 13mm and are dirty white colored with brown or purple spots on its back. The lifecycle process takes around 35 days, and lifespan of these almond moths is 7-10 days. The adult moths grow up to 13-20 mm. The moths have bi-colored wings which are gray-brown and tanned.
