The Christmas Beetles are large chunky and flattened. These creatures have metallic brown, yellow or pink coating. This species of beetles swarms throughout the town in eastern Australia, during the midsummer. The ideal habitat for these beetles is woodland where the creatures have access to trees and soil. The larvae develop in the soil and grow as curl curbs. After attaining maturity, the beetles eat eucalyptus leaves. The lifespan of these beetles is between one-two years, but this factor majorly depends on the environment condition. These beetles are found swarming in the mid-November to Christmas. The lifespan of the matured beetles is few weeks. When swarming in mass, these beetles can kill their hosts. These beetles crash into windows and can attack the household commodities.
