African Armyworm
African Armyworm is a migratory moth that causes extensive damage to vegetation and crops. These caterpillars get classified as destructive pests for cereal crops and pastures. The population of these worms increases dramatically, and mass migration of the moths can cover thousands of kilometers. The moths travel in mass and hence get the name armyworm. The worms cause significant losses in the local, national as well as international scale. The caterpillars cause extensive damage in a short time.
