The House Sparrow is a stocky and stout bird. This bird species have varying color patterns and are also different in size. These birds have large round head with a chunkier chest. The males generally have black face, neck and gray crown with dark brown or black abdomen. The females are paler than the male with buff eye strips and light bill. House sparrows are get adapted to the urban areas and the agricultural spaces very easily. They build their nests in crevices of walls, tree hollows, under the bridge as well as in areas with thick vegetation. The house sparrows in large groups are very loud which is disturbing for humans. Apart from noise, the house sparrows are significant crop pests. In groups, they spoil livestock food. The birds can clog the drains and gutters with their feces. The birds transmit several diseases.
