Lawn Grub is also called white grub which is the immature form of scarab beetles. These creatures have soft and fat bodies with legs near its heads. These lawn grubs feed on grass roots and the organic matters available in the soil. The grubs cause extensive damage to the lawn killing patches of grasses. The grubs grow into beetles in the soil and move up to mate and lay eggs. The eggs hatch within two weeks and the grubs start feasting on the roots soon after hatching. The symptom of infestation of this creature is brown patches on the grass bed. There are wide varieties of beetles, but the grubs have similar appearances. The damages to the lawn occur during late summer and peak of fall. A severe infestation will invite other wildlife creatures that feed on the larvae and the beetles.
